Dirt Track Racing!!!

With a low admission price and lively races this has been one of our favorite things do so far this summer, has anyone else checked out the races at Summit Raceway off of the Lamoille Hwy in Elko, NV?

The Great Humboldt Duck Race

The Great Humboldt Duck Race is a playful event that attracts 100s of people each year to watch and have a great time as all the little rubber duckies dash down the river in spirited competition. You can have a festive time attending but even a better time participating — and no you don’t have to get wet, just visit the
Northeastern Nevada Museum website and adopt your duck for a chance to win $1,000 and to help support the museum and Northeastern Nevada’s wonderful heritage. We’ll see you all on July 25th at 10am for the big event!

The 24th Annual Mining Expo

Howdy Pardners! Mining is a huge part of our heritage here in Northern Nevada and more than a substantial part of the economic vitality of this area. As we are closing in on the 24th  Annual Mining Expo (June 8-12 at the Elko Convention Center), we would like to give a great big thank you to all the miners, mining companies and all the other associated companies that make such a big impact on Elko, Nevada.

When you get done visiting the exhibits or enjoying one of the many technical seminars feel free to stop on by and say hello or enjoy a delicious dinner or the fantastic happy hour at The Great American Grill in the neighboring Hilton Garden Inn.
