For one of the great family traditions, make sure you make it to the Elko County Fair. The county fair kicks off on 08/28/09 and runs until 09/07/09. The horse races are probably my favorite part but I know each of you have a favorite part of your own. With the Elko County Fair having 86 years of tradition under its belt, its pretty safe to say they know how to do a county fair right.Other fun events to watch include the stock horse events such as team roping, branding, sorting and the stallion stakes.
